Bison parchment
As far as we know, Drum & More is the only place in Europe where bison parchment is available; these hides are extremely rare!
Bison parchment, or “rawhide,” is strong and relatively stiff, but always beautiful and large.
Parchment is dried hide, stripped of its hair. It is easy to work with when wet and shrinks back to its original size when dry. It is used for drums or lampshades.
Large pieces of parchment, such as bison, can sometimes only be shipped by cutting them in half widthwise, due to shipping restrictions. Please contact Joop to discuss this before placing an order.
