Goat parchment or ‘rawhide’ is strong and relatively supple. Goat parchment with hair is quite unique and creates a playful effect.

Parchment is dried skin, which is normally dehaired, but in this case this has not been done. It is easy to work with when wet and shrinks again as it dries. It is used for drums or lampshades.
